American Friends of Nyenrode University Inc. (“AFNU”) is a North-American not-for-profit public charity corporation (exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)3 of Title 26 of the United States Internal Revenue Code), whose primary objective is to support Nyenrode’s educational mission by raising funds for revolving scholarships for current and future students.

Governed by a Board of Directors, AFNU maintains periodic contact with approximately 700 alumni in the USA and Canada. In addition, AFNU supports occasional regional alumni gatherings around visiting Nyenrode delegations and dignitaries.

Since 2013, AFNU has awarded 17 Revolving Scholarships to promising Nyenrode candidates and has funded over Euro 100,000 in Faculty Research initiatives. In recent years, AFNU also hosted alumni events with Nyenrode’s president and faculty members in New York, Boston, Washington DC, Atlanta, San Francisco, Portland and Florida, and supported Nyenrode students’ participation in the Molson International Case Competition (Montreal), and other events.
